Pastor Position Opening
First Baptist Church of Eminence, Missouri is currently seeking a full-time or possibly bi-vocational pastor to shepherd our congregation through preaching, teaching, leadership, and pastoral care.
Our church is located in Eminence, Missouri, a small rural town in the heart of the Ozarks National Scenic Riverways National Park. This area has a unique culture and a close-knit community that values faith, service, and strong Christian principles.
First Baptist Church of Eminence has a rich history of over 110 years of ministry. We appreciate and honor the legacy of those who have served before us and are excited about the future as we continue growing God’s kingdom in our community.
Pastoral Responsibilities
The pastor will serve as the primary spiritual leader of the church and will guide the congregation through preaching, leadership, and pastoral care.
Responsibilities include:
Preaching and Teaching
Preparing and delivering weekly sermons, teaching Sunday evening lessons, and helping develop others into strong leaders within the church.
Leading the Church
Guiding members as they grow in their faith and serve according to the calling God has placed on their lives.
Planning
Helping organize worship services, church activities, and other ministry opportunities.
Shepherding the Congregation
Providing pastoral care to members, including visiting those in need, comforting those experiencing loss, and encouraging outreach efforts within the community.
Administration and Management
Helping oversee church operations and working with church leadership to ensure ministries and church business function well.
Associational Participation
Attending associational meetings, representing the church, and reporting important information back to the congregation.
Qualifications
• Pastoral experience is preferred
• Seminary training would be considered a valuable asset
Compensation and Benefits
Salary
Full-Time Position — $45,000 per year
Bi-Vocational Position — $30,000 per year
Vacation
Two weeks per year
Housing
A parsonage is available.
