The Next Steps in Your Faith
Wherever you are in your journey, we want to help you take the next step.
At First Baptist Church, we believe growing in faith happens one step at a time. Whether you are exploring Christianity for the first time, ready to be baptized, or looking for a place to serve, we would love to walk alongside you as you grow in your relationship with Christ.
1 — Salvation
The most important step anyone can take is placing their faith in Jesus Christ.
The Bible teaches that every person has sinned and is separated from God. But because of His great love for us, God sent His Son Jesus Christ to die for our sins and rise again so that we could have forgiveness and new life.
Salvation comes when a person turns from their sin and places their faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.
If you would like to learn more about what it means to follow Christ, we would be honored to talk with you and answer any questions you may have.
2 — Baptism
Baptism is an important step of obedience for those who have trusted in Jesus Christ.
It is a public declaration of faith and a symbol of the new life that believers have in Christ. At First Baptist Church, we baptize believers by immersion, following the example given in the Bible.
If you have placed your faith in Christ but have not yet been baptized, we would love to talk with you about taking this step.
3 — Church Membership
Church membership is a way of committing to grow alongside other believers in a local church family.
Members of First Baptist Church worship together, study God’s Word together, serve one another, and work together to share the gospel in our community and beyond.
If you are interested in becoming a member, we would love to help you learn more about our church and how you can become part of the church family.
4 — Serving
God has given every believer unique gifts and abilities to serve others.
There are many ways to get involved at First Baptist Church, including helping with children’s ministries, youth programs, hospitality, outreach, music, and other areas of service.
Serving is one of the best ways to build relationships and become connected within the life of the church.
If you would like to learn more about how you can serve, we would love to help you find a place where your gifts can be used to bless others.
If you have questions about any of these next steps, we would be happy to talk with you.
Feel free to reach out to us through our Contact Page, or speak with one of our pastors or church leaders during a service.
We would love to walk alongside you as you grow in your faith.
